StockPilot Technologies LLC is a financial data publisher and technology provider, not a Registered Investment Adviser (RIA) or broker-dealer. All quantitative factor scores, qualitative AI report summaries, model portfolios, and risk calculations are produced for educational, research, and informational purposes only. Nothing on this platform constitutes a recommendation to buy, sell, or hold any security. Self-directed brokerage integration is executed directly by the user through third-party APIs (e.g. Alpaca Securities LLC, Member FINRA/SIPC).

Our legal basis

StockPilot operates under the publisher's exemption in §202(a)(11)(D) of the Investment Advisers Act of 1940, as interpreted by the Supreme Court in Lowe v. SEC, 472 U.S. 181 (1985). That exemption is self-executing: it requires no registration or application, but it does require that we behave as a genuine publisher. In practice we hold ourselves to three rules.

1. Impersonal research

Everything we publish — scores, rankings, reports, digests and alerts — is produced on a general, impersonal basis and delivered identically to every subscriber of a given tier. We never provide advice tailored to your personal portfolio, income, tax position, risk tolerance, or circumstances, and nothing we publish should be read as though we had.

2. Bona fide publication

We operate as a regular publication. We never hold customer funds, never manage discretionary accounts, and never charge performance or assets-under-management fees. Our only charge is a flat subscription.

3. Automated regular schedule

Research is published on an automated schedule tied to market closes — not in response to any individual subscriber's question about their own situation.

About the data and the models

Our reports are built from SEC EDGAR filings, market data, analyst estimates and other sources. We take care to attribute and date every input, and where a value is unavailable we display it as unavailable rather than estimating it. We do not, however, warrant that any figure is accurate, complete, or current. Model outputs — including factor scores, fair-value estimates and any signal derived from them — are the product of assumptions that may be wrong.

Past performance does not indicate future results. All investing carries risk, including total loss of principal. Backtested or simulated results carry additional and well-documented limitations: they are computed with hindsight, they do not reflect the effect of real capital in a real market, and they should not be relied upon as an indication of future returns.

Using this platform does not create an advisory, fiduciary, or brokerage relationship between you and StockPilot Technologies LLC.
